At least 5 years working directly in a Senior HPUX Administrator or Senior HPUX Engineer capacity, 2 years working with Solaris a plus
Advanced knowledge of HPUX, including Disk Management, make_net_recovery(1M), Software Distributor, ServiceGuard, clustering, VPAR, Virtual Service Provider (VSP), and Integrity Virtual Machines concepts and practical implementation.
Ability to install, configure, maintain server hardware and VPAR systems, handle all phases of migrations and upgrades including ia64 hp Integrity rx2800 i6 and BL870c
Monitor and perform hardware and software upgrades using GlancePlus including operating systems and applications.
Coordinate with various teams for disaster planning and perform network backup and monitor recovery processes.
Strong experience scripting with Python, korn shell, bash shell as well as automation tools such as ansible and MFOO
Passion for designing and building reliable systems
Experience with deploying, supporting, and monitoring new and existing services, platforms, and application stacks
Strong experience supporting customer-facing applications on Windows/Linux platforms with a UNIX database backend
Monitoring experience leveraging GlancePlus, Splunk, ExtraHop, Dynatrace, etc
Strong fundamental understanding of Networking and Security
Automation advocate Have an automation first approach
Knowledge of TCP/IP networking, architecture, and core technologies (such as DNS, DHCP, HTTPS).
Experience researching, planning, and implementing vulnerability configuration fixes and familiarity with PCI/SOC audits.
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, to share your knowledge, teach what you know, and learn new ways of doing things from your team.
Use the core Site Reliability Engineering principles of change management, monitoring emergency response, capacity planning, and production readiness reviews to run the platform
Monitor and report on service level objectives for a given applications services. Work with business and product owners to establish key performance indicators
Partnering with security engineers and developing plans and automation to respond to new risks and vulnerabilities aggressively and safely
Partner with the broader Fiserv organization to build a culture of rigorously learning from incidents
Unblock, support, and effectively communicate across teams to achieve results
Define roadmap and architecture based on technology and business needsAbout the company
