- Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, prioritising patient care to develop individualised packages of care through comprehensive assessment and recovery planning
- Deliver a range of treatment options including clinical and psychosocial interventions in both a group and 1-1 setting with recovery at the centre of our healthcare wellbeing model
- Be able to carry out comprehensive assessments, initiate and review individual recovery plans and confidently communicate the full range of treatment options available to service users.
- Monitor therapeutic responses to medication and potential side effects and liaise with prescribers. You will work with individuals, on a 1-1 basis, providing advice and information
- Support in group work delivery and liaise with prescribers and Recovery Practitioners on clinical interventions. You will occasionally be required to support dispensing
- Have an understanding and commitment to recovery and a person centred approach.

- Registered nurse with current NMC registration.
- Evidence of Continued Professional Development (CPD).
- RCGP 1 in Substance Misuse or willingness to learn
- Experience of working with opiate dependant patients.
- Sound clinical substance misuse knowledge is essential.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Substance Misuse Nurse to join our Substance Misuse team at HMP Wymott, a Category C men's prison in Lancashire. The prison houses around 1186 men with a variety of health needs.
This would suit a driver ideally as its quite far from the nearest bus stop and they are fairly rural. There is parking on site, an on-site gym, canteen, and training and development opportunities.Hours
37.5 hours - Monday to Friday - 8-4 or 9-5pm, with some weekends required occasionally if needed.
Salary
This position is full time, youll receive an annual salary up to £47,466 per annum FTE - depending on experience.
