- To work as a member of the team providing mental health services as required to patients in the A2i team, following assessment
- To be available to work flexibly across a 5 day a week service.
- To assist in the delivery of high standards of care to individual clients under the direction of a qualified nurse, occupational therapist or social worker.
- To provide recovery focussed therapeutic interventions in line with the agreed care plan and risk assessment.

Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Support Worker to work within the A2i team in Portsmouth.
The successful applicant would be expected to work within a multidisciplinary team to support trained practitioners in supporting service users with severe and enduring mental illness at home and the community. This role will assist in the delivery of high standards of effective care and evidence-based treatment in collaboration with service users, Carers, and professionals from other established services patients under the direction of a qualified nurse, occupational therapist or social worker. A strong emphasis is placed on recovery.
We are looking for an experienced support worker who is dedicated to making a difference to service users in the community. Candidates should be able to manage their own caseload effectively, able to make clear documentation whilst working autonomously in the community or in a team. You must be empathetic to others and able to effectively escalate risk.
The successful candidate must be available to work Monday to Friday 9-5 with some potential flexibility required. Being a car driver or having access to transport is required for this role. Secure parking is available locally at Fratton park with a short walk to base.
