Job Description

- Maintain the IT infrastructure of the UK office to ensure smooth, reliable operation of systems and services
- Act as Level 2 - 3 support for user, application, and workstation issues after triage, as a team supporting approx 150 employees
- Act as Level 2 support for UK office networking projects and troubleshooting
- Administer and support various systems and technologies (Active Directory, WSUS, RMM, VMWare ESXi, MDT, etc).
- Supervises backup process, and leads disaster recovery planning and testing.
- Work with IT colleagues in managing global VMware environment, with hosts in different regions and contribute to infrastructure projects
- Evaluate relevant new technologies and provide recommendations for implementation.
- Maintain inventory and asset configuration process and documentation.
- Manage third-party vendors.
- Define and document best practices and support procedures.
- Interact with other team members from different countries.
- Provide coaching and mentoring of other team members.
- 5-7 years’ experience
- Advanced knowledge of Windows Server (2012+) / desktop OS (Windows 10+)
- Advanced knowledge in a multi-domain and hybrid Active Directory environment.
- Managing server virtualization technologies like VMWare Server/ESX
- Experience of LAN/WAN networking
- Experience with managing server backups using Veeam or comparable tools.
- Managing deployments/rollouts
- Knowledge of RMM and other remote management tools
- Knowledge of cloud hosting solution (AWS / VMC) an asset
- Knowledge of scripting languages an asset
- Knowledge of Google workspace an asset
- Must be reliable, responsible and a self-starter.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and prioritize effectively.
- Excellent communication, organization and teamwork skills in a fast-paced setting.
- English proficiency in a technical environment
- One week travel / month to the UK office
- MCSE, Network + / CCNA an asset.
- VMWare VCP, PNCSE also an asset.
- Successful completion of college associate or bachelor’s degree in an information technology field or equivalent
