What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Develop new features for the Firefox Profiler to enhance user experience for browser engineers and web developers
- Expand the data captured by the Firefox Profiler while maintaining performance standards
- Participate in bug triage and strategy with the performance team
- Assist other Firefox engineers in efficiently using performance tools and enhance their projects
- Mentor volunteers contributing to the codebase and promote the use of performance tools within the community
What is Required (Qualifications):
- 5+ years of experience in systems software engineering using C++
- 1+ year of experience in Rust
- Expertise in at least one operating system API (Windows/Linux/macOS/Android) and familiarity with others
- Experience with large multi-threaded applications and memory management
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across engineering teams

- Familiarity with JavaScript, Java, Android development, or Python
