      Job Summary:

      Under moderate direction, coordinates the full life cycle of professional regional recruiting for assigned focus areas for both entry and mid-career level professional positions (engineering, sales, corporate functions, etc.) to include relationship management with hiring managers, requisition assignment, defining the sourcing strategy, administering the candidate process through an Applicant Tracking System (ATS), determining appropriate salary and benefits offerings, extending offers and finalizing start date. Responsible for meeting requisition cycle time and diversity KPIs. Takes an active role in Talent Acquisition projects.

      Position is hybrid - requires 3 days a week of on-site work.

      Roles & Responsibilities:

      1. Recruits for both entry and mid-career level professional positions across the region for assigned functional areas (engineering, sales, corporate functions, etc.). Ensures that talent acquisition efforts adhere to DENSO’s diversity and inclusion programs. Strives to meet cycle times set for time to fill, retention during initial employment period, etc.
      2. Administers the candidate process through an Applicant Tracking System, including creating the job posting, sourcing candidates, organizes and may participate in initial interviews, follows up with hiring managers on requisition status, recommending appropriate salary and benefits offerings, extending offers and finalizing start dates. Provides suggestions on process and/or systems improvements.
      3. Arranges for pre-employment screening exams, including driving and credit checks, drug screenings, etc. Adheres to service levels from current vendor and escalates vendor issue to Advanced Talent Acquisition Specialist or Manager.
      4. Maintains existing relationships with approved external contract vendors to ensure proper candidates are being sourced for contract openings. Maintains relationships with external search companies for hard to fill positions.
      5. Conducts regular follow-up meetings with managers to determine effectiveness of sourcing strategies, following standard recruiting operating model.
      6. Acts as a liaison with university placement offices/officials, prepares for career fair season by providing input into creation of recruitment materials, soliciting SMEs to present at the career fairs and attending career fairs to conduct initial prescreening and initial interviews. Researches industry best practices and makes suggestions for improving the college relations program.
      7. Completes multiple tasks as part of Talent Acquisition projects as needed.
      8. Makes suggestions toward and supports improvement of processes and policies for recruiting.
      9. Acts as a mentor less experienced professionals.
      10. Performs other duties as assigned.

      Required Qualifications:

      • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, organizational management, or a related field.
      • 2-5 years of direct experience in recruiting
      • Experience working with a manufacturing environment preferred

      Skills & Abilities:

      • Strong knowledge and familiarity with federal, state and local employment laws and regulations, with specific awareness of employment laws relating to the employment of foreign nationals
      • Strong knowledge/understanding of professional and college recruiting best practices and current industry trends
      • Proven ability to foster and maintain relationships with an ability to work as part of a cross functional team
      • Intermediate level of proficiency in Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint
      • Strong knowledge of Oracle Recruiting Cloud or other Applicant Tracking Systems
      • Strong analytical skills, with an ability to gather and analyze data
      • Strong written and verbal communication skills and presentation skills. Ability to communicate with internal and external customers on issues of moderate to considerable importance, up to and including senior management
      • Strong customer service skills. Ability to promote and support a service-oriented environment
      • Good negotiation skills. Ability to defend position strongly while keenly aware of the need to maximize benefits for all sides
      • Basic project management skills, including identifying and scheduling process steps, determining resources and staff required to successfully complete assigned projects or project steps and reporting on project milestones
      • Ability to transfer knowledge to less experienced specialists
      • Strong continuous improvement mindset
      • Ability to apply process improvement planning and checking to own work output and to assist others with identifying gaps in work results
