What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Conduct research on complex transactions to assess appropriate accounting treatment
- Coordinate GAAP and Statutory accounting policy activities and distribute updates on new accounting pronouncements
- Serve as a strategic advocate for new accounting policies and procedures
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to protect the integrity of financial statements
- Manage project-based workloads, setting achievements and communicating findings effectively
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in accounting
- Public Accounting experience is ideal
- Strong communication skills to explain complex technical matters clearly
- Ability to build relationships and collaborate with various stakeholders
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- GAAP & Statutory experience is recommended
- Experience with consolidation guidance, such as VOE/VIE analysis
- Familiarity with investments is ideal
- CPA or other applicable certifications preferred
