      Contract: Permanent

Closing Date: Thursday 8th February. Please note, we may close vacancies early where we receive significant numbers of applications, so don’t delay!

      Why Hereford?
You may not know this but at HEINEKEN we love apples! We own orchards, a fruit mill, and the world’s largest Cider plant (or Ciderie as we like to call it) in Herefordshire. We’re famous for beer but we own some of the UK’s most loved Cider brands including Strongbow, Bulmer’s Old Mout, Inch’s and Symonds to name a few. At our Hereford site we employ just over 300 colleagues, and we pride ourselves in having a fantastic site, with a great safety record, producing great quality cider.

      What’s the role?

If you have a passion for brewing great beers and ciders, & have a high level of brewing expertise within a medium to large scale brewing environment then this may be the role you are looking for.

Working alongside the production team, you will contribute to the achievement of process specifications and First Time Right to improve brewing and product quality. You will act as key site contact with Technical colleagues and external parties to ensure resolution of all quality and technical issues. You will help to deliver successful implementation of improvement opportunities such as brewing process improvements, organising trials along with supporting the introduction of new products and brewing materials. Being a high volume site you will also drive process optimisation to deliver cost benefits to the site. Training and education of operational teams is also a key part of the role in technical and operational aspects. With ongoing large investment to the site, you will pay a pivotal role supporting effective project delivery with key stakeholders, ensuring quality and efficiency is maintained or improved.

This is a key and exciting role in which you will be supporting the Head of Brewing in all quality, technical and operational aspects of the department. We need you to drive quality standards and production levels forward through analysis and optimisation of the entire brewing process.

      What we are looking for?

For this role, you’ll need to have a relevant Science or Engineering degree, and the Institute of Brewing & Distilling - Master Brewer is highly desired or be something the successful candidate is willing to work towards. Most importantly we are looking for previous experience in a similar role (Cider experience would be a plus) as well as:

      • Drive for optimising and improving quality, productivity and cost in cider making process.
      • First Line and Production Management Experience
      • Knowledge & understanding of TPM
      • Passion for quality, experience in HACCP and FEMAS.

      The Good Bits:

      As part of the team, along with your salary you’ll also receive;

      • An annual bonus,
      • Company funded Private Medical Healthcare,
      • double matched pension (up to 10%),
      • 35 days holiday
      • A monthly case of our delicious ciders and beers!
      • Comprehensive Opportunities to develop.

You’ll also get the opportunity to get involved with one of our colleague networks where groups of colleagues from all over the business work together to ensure we’re always working towards being a diverse and inclusive company.

      The application

If you like what you’ve read and want to explore this opportunity further, please apply before the closing date listed at the top of the advert.
