      We’re looking for an amazing Senior Technical Lead Qik Developer to fill this role, which is based in our Santa Clarita office. You’ll be responsible for leading the GDS QIK developers in the design, development, coding, testing, and debugging new projects and enhancements to existing software. Supporting the future custom GDS QIK applications that automate our travel processes and improve productivity. Will work with other technical teams in resolving complex business problems and ensures that our systems are fully functional 24x7. Evaluates requirements from business users and provides programming timelines for given requests and can communicate complex analytical problems into written functional requirements. Will work with a dynamic team and with other departments to evaluate best practices and achieve goals and timelines.

      Responsibilities

      • Develop and maintain Sabre QIK Applications (software) using Sabre Web Service API’s and traditional Sabre host capabilities to meet the needs of the business users and overall travel automation systems
      • Evaluate business requirements and provide programming timelines for given requests and ensure applications are developed to meet operational needs
      • Have a strong understanding of SQL Database functions: SQL Query Construction that includes SELECT, UPDATE, DELETE. SQL Table Creation including data type configuration, SQL DDL creation
      • Create test applications for system testers to validate system functionality
      • Troubleshoot and debug complex issues; identifies and implements solutions
      • Have an expert level of understanding of GDS Air Systems, Sabre Travel Technology Products: Sabre Profiles, Ticketing, Schedule Changes, Red Apps, Airline Pricing, NDC, Bargain Finder Max
      • Work in an Agile/Scrum environment with other team members
      • High level of CREW Travel Expertise – Knowledge of MAP’s helpful
      • Expertise in development of Priority Point Air Booking Applications
      • Willingness to collaborate with Directors and Above on custom air system technologies
      • Challenges include tight timelines by business users as well as changes to the changing airline industry
      • Priorities change often, so the perfect candidate must be open minded and self-organized
      • Have prior leadership/supervisory experience

      Requirements

      • Degree in Industrial Engineering / Computer Science, Information Technology
      • Sabre GDS Education
      • Minimum 5 years in a developer role that required development of software solutions solving for complex problems
      • Minimum 5 years in the Travel Industry / Cruise Line Preferred
      • 5+ Years Sabre QIK Development
      • 5+ Years Sabre Web Services Development REST/SOAP
      • 5+ Years SQL Database Experience
      • JavaScript, TypeScript Experience
      • Sabre Red App Development Experience -preferred but not required
      • 3+ Years SQL Database Experience
      • MS Access
      • Expert level knowledge of a minimum of 1 GDS: Abacus, Amadeus, Sabre or Travelport
      • Knowledge of Travel Products: Profiles, Pricing, Ticketing, Air Shopping, Bargain Finder Max, NDC, Hotels, Schedule Changes,
      • Ability to stay organized and manage multiple and concurrent assignments under tight deadlines
      • Understanding of Leisure Supplier large scale travel operations
      • Airline Industry experience – preferred not required
      • JIRA, Confluence, Bit Bucket
      • Strong analytical capabilities and problem-solving skills.
      • Able to solve complex problems using technical knowledge and skills related to the cruise industry.
      • High-level skills and in-depth knowledge of issues and resolutions concerning travel operations.
      • Have prior leadership/supervisory experience

      • Base Salary Range: $97,800.00 to $132,000.00. The range is applicable for the labor market where the role is intended to be hired. Final base salary is directly related to each candidates' qualifications and experience uniquely.
