- Lead the development and production of highly technical documentation including system design descriptions, process documentation, SOPs, and user guides.
- Engage with stakeholders, engineers, and technical SMEs to extract information, synthesize concepts, and author accurate and comprehensive documentation.
- Create and manage documentation schedules aligned with project milestones, deliverables, and compliance deadlines.
- Develop briefing materials, dashboards, and summary reports for USCG and DHS leadership across varying technical proficiencies.
- Translate complex cybersecurity and cloud concepts into clear, concise formats suitable for internal and external communication.
- Oversee version control, revision tracking, and publishing of technical content using standard document management platforms.
- Ensure content accuracy, consistency, and compliance with federal style guides, standards, and IL4/IL5 documentation requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, service delivery, DevOps, and compliance to align content with operational goals.
- Support quality assurance and peer review processes to validate the integrity and clarity of deliverables.
- Maintain centralized repositories and templates for reusable documentation.
- Create and maintain onboarding documentation and technical training materials to support staff orientation and operational readiness.
- Support the creation and maintenance of Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM) documentation to ensure complete coverage of system and compliance requirements.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience producing technical documentation in a federal IT or cybersecurity environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Demonstrated experience supporting IL4/IL5 or FedRAMP-compliant environments.
- Strong knowledge of cloud technologies (Azure, AWS), cybersecurity principles, DevOps workflows, and IT operations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) and collaboration tools (e.g., SharePoint, Teams).
- Excellent communication, research, and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to build strong working relationships with engineering teams, leadership, and SMEs.
- Favorable adjudicated Tier 1 background investigation (SF-85 through DCMS SECCEN).
- Experience supporting DHS, USCG, DoD, or other .gov agencies.
- Familiarity with Agile or SAFe methodologies.
- SharePoint administration and content publishing skills.
- Experience with technical style guides, documentation automation tools, or Adobe Creative Suite.
- Cybersecurity certifications (e.g., Security+, CCSP) or cloud certifications (e.g., AZ-900, AWS Cloud Practitioner).

The Opportunity:

The proposed salary range for this position is:
