What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Underwrite new and renewal business for life sciences accounts across multiple lines of coverage
- Assess risk and make informed underwriting decisions in line with company guidelines
- Document underwriting decisions and communicate coverage options during the quoting process
- Identify opportunities for account rounding and cross-selling additional products
- Maintain proactive communication with agents to build trust and confidence
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 5 years of underwriting experience in small or middle market Life Sciences
- Strong knowledge of property and casualty coverages and underwriting principles
- Experience with Professional Lines, Cyber, and Products Liability is highly desired
- Excellent relationship-building and communication skills
- Sales-oriented mindset with the ability to negotiate and close accounts
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with complex underwriting scenarios in the Life Sciences sector
- Proven track record of successful sales negotiations
- Familiarity with agency management and marketing strategies
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
