What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Underwrite new and renewal business for life sciences accounts across multiple lines of coverage
- Assess risk and make informed underwriting decisions in accordance with company guidelines
- Document underwriting decisions in internal systems and communicate coverage options to agents
- Identify opportunities for account rounding and cross-selling additional products
- Maintain proactive communication with agents and collaborate with colleagues on complex issues
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 5 years of underwriting experience in small or middle market Life Sciences
- Strong knowledge of property and casualty coverages and underwriting principles
- Experience with Professional Lines, Cyber, and Products Liability is highly desired
- Excellent relationship-building and communication skills
- Sales-oriented mindset with the ability to negotiate and close accounts

- Experience with underwriting for life sciences accounts and familiarity with agency management
- Proven track record of delivering outstanding service and responsiveness in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical skills to evaluate risk and make sound decisions
