- Provide thought leadership, combining vision with the ability to embed business planning to drive sales and optimize investment through marketing and digital
- Lead all NRM and loyalty initiatives to optimize the program that drives differentiation in the industry as well as neighbor preference and “share of wallet” to Pet Supplies Plus and Wag N’ Wash.
- Define and protect the PSP Group brands, based on both brand legacy and what is relevant for today’s and tomorrow’s target Develop strategy and mechanisms to build brand equity, awareness and loyalty while ensuring the brand is consistently expressed across all points of internal and external message distribution.
- Recruit, train, and develop a strong marketing team that effectively achieves defined local and company-wide marketing and brand
- Proactively serve as an effective advocate and leader for growth and change at PSP Group especially as it relates to omni-channel and
- Conceptualize and architect the digital strategy to drive growth and innovation while creating stronger synergies, enterprise-wide alignment, and accelerated
- Effectively manage and allocate the marketing budget, given changing market conditions, to drive business results and maximize marketing spend
- Work closely with the merchants and key vendors to develop programs that create win-win results for the vendors and PSP Group utilizing vendor Develop a strong track record of results that attracts vendors to PSP Group first.
- In partnership with the SVP Merchandising, conceive and develop new marketing supported ideas for revenue growth to fuel existing neighbor loyalty and bring new neighbors to PSP and Wag N’ Wash.
- Own the neighbor data analytics and research functions for PSP Group. Develop fact-based marketing and consumer insight analytics that leverage our neighbor database and programs to provide a sustainable competitive
- BA/BS in Marketing or related field is required, and an MBA is preferred.
- 15 years’ minimum experience leading and executing marketing strategies and programs including brand, local marketing, and digital programs in a retail
- Demonstrated financial impact of those strategies and
- Proven experience developing strong customer relationships leveraging CRM, segmentation, and loyalty
- Current experience employing social media and mobile media to drive awareness and
- Analytically savvy with experience leveraging research, customer insights and analytics in developing and measuring marketing
- Possess creative skills and thought leadership with ability to stimulate, capture, and execute upon new
- Current experience developing and employing eCommerce and omni-channel strategies including buy online pick-up in store, buy online deliver from store and buy
- Proven experience leveraging emerging technologies and digital practices to drive customer engagement, conversion, and
- Superior project management and execution
- Excellent communication and presentations skills to influence results and articulate
- Demonstrated abilities to work collaboratively across multi-functional Must understand the demands of the store and field organization plus champion initiatives to better serve those who directly serve the customer.
- Understands marketing and merchandising processes and the interrelationships of buying, marketing, in-store presentation and selling
- Successful experience operating in a lean environment where strong focus and prioritization are critical to attainment of company-wide goals.
- History of engaging the merchants across various lines to facilitate participation in the overall brand strategy and Must understand trends, needs and obstacles experienced in respective lines of business.
- Builder and mentor of high performing
- A love of animals a must, and prior experience with pet or enthusiast brands a plus

The Senior Vice President of Marketing, reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, will lead the marketing function at PSP Group and be responsible for building our two brands, Pet Supplies Plus and Wag N Wash, for all corporate owned and franchised locations.
