- Oversee the supply chain operating performance, along with key service, quality and cost metrics focusing on continuous improvement.
- Develop and improve supply chain processes and practices in a way that best achieves the organization’ s objectives.
- Ensure that logistics and purchasing teams make a meaningful economic contribution to the business through year-on-year cost reductions, inflation management and variable income results.
- Strategic management of supplier performance and future organizational needs to assess the ability to meet quality, delivery, and cost requirements.
- Drive supply chain efficiency through process development, digitalization and systems enablement.
- Staying updated with emerging technologies and industry best practices to drive innovation and process improvements within the supply chain. Implementing and leveraging technology solutions like supply chain management software, analytics, and automation to enhance efficiency and visibility.
- Accountable for material planning to achieve target inventory turnover while minimizing negative customer impacts due to material shortage or delays.
- Responsible for achieving delivery and quality standards on locally sourced, globally supplied materials.
- Developing strong relationships with key suppliers.
- Responsible for Inventory Control oversight, ensuring appropriate controls and practices are established to maximize inventory accuracy (quantity and value) to maintaining our high standards of customer service and meet customer expectations.
- Maintain working knowledge of key markets, commodities, and inputs, and establish indicator metrics to identify price movements.
- Identifying and mitigating potential risks within the supply chain, such as disruptions in supply, logistics, or quality issues. Developing contingency plans and working closely with cross-functional teams to minimize the impact of supply chain disruptions.
- Collaborates with production teams to ensure efficient and effective production processes. This involves providing support to improve manufacturing processes, including e.g. monitoring production capacity, optimizing manufacturing schedules, and implementing lean methodologies to enhance productivity and minimizing waste.
- Ensures focus of key metrics within the distribution centers to deliver continuous improvement on safety, inventory, cost, and service levels. Provide visibility to distribution space needs as a part of long-range strategic capacity plans.
- Together with the leadership team, ensures compliance with Food Safety and Food Quality Plans, in addition to customer requirements. Interprets and communicates customer requirements to plant production and/or support groups. Establishes and Audits PCPs, CCPs and Standard Operating Procedures to define and monitor processes, to ensure customer requirements are met. Reviews incidents during which the procedures are not met and determines appropriate corrective action for partners failing to follow standard procedures.
- 15+ years of broad-based Supply Chain experience
- Related experience in Logistics, Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Materials Planning Management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Operations, Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, Agriculture or related field required.
- Master’s degree in supply chain management or another related field, preferred.
- Knowledge of six sigma and lean concepts as well as certifications are highly valued.
- Possess a broad range of skills to provide the necessary leadership and direction in the face of various situations and market demands, such as a proven ability to handle multiple tasks/projects, manage priorities accordingly, and be able to grasp complex business issues and logically develop solutions.
- Deep understanding of purchasing and logistics processes.
- Experience in leading continuous improvement strategy & programs.
- Experience in developing innovative strategies for and driving the execution of them.
- Proven leadership capability and goal-oriented management style with capability to manage in a matrix style organization with international business partners.
- Develop and articulate a strategic vision for the group in the relevant areas. Developing effective goals, standards, and metrics to keep track of key supply chain performance indicators.
- Experience working with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, including data analytics within supply chain functions.
- Experience in business process design and implementation including problem-solving, negotiations, and team building with non-direct reports.
- Demonstrate aptitude for connecting disparate types of information including planning, procurement, distribution, manufacturing, regulations, product development, and statistical methods.
- Systems thinking/mindset, including the ability to create an understanding of a larger system by examining linkages and interactions between components.

Responsible for leading, developing and executing the strategic direction of Schreiber's end to end supply chain. This includes Direct and Indirect Sourcing, Transportation, Logistics, Raw Material and Finished Goods Inventory Management, Demand Planning, Production Planning, Network Optimization, Capacity Planning and Distribution Center Operations. The position collaborates internally with Sales, Operations and Quality to focus on delivering on service and quality expectations of Schreiber customers. Helps lead sourcing decisions and engages in strategic supplier relationships. Uses data and analytics to focus internal teams on the right level of inventory and capacity that maximize volume and profit while hitting customer fill rates targets. Oversees distribution center operations executing on day-to-day tasks that ensure cost, quality and service metrics are met. Primary focus includes developing strong teams that drive business results.
