- Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited institution
- 5+ years of server administration experience, including:
- Experience working in a Microsoft Azure environment.
- Experience working with Microsoft Server 2019, up to the latest version.
- Experience working with any application server or web server utilities: Internet Information Services (IIS), Adobe ColdFusion, Apache Tomcat, etc.
- A strong understanding of MS SQL Server 2019, up to the latest version, as well as Azure SQL and Microsoft Azure SQL Managed Instances.
- Experience with IT ticketing solutions, such as ServiceNow and Jira.
- DoD 8140.01 IAT II Baseline Certification (Security+ or equivalent as specified in the DoD 8140.01)
- Computing Environment Certified (For example, Windows Server, Microsoft Azure certifications, MS SQL Certifications, or equivalent as specified in DoD 8140.01)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Comfortable acting as the primary technical POC for the government, and coordinating work amongst the team.
- Experience mentoring Junior DBA and Server Admins.
- Experience generating and gathering metrics such as server uptime, ticket completion rates, and generating easy to read reports from the data.
- Understands the value of commitments to delivery made by a production team.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in an environment with high visibility and similarly high expectations.
- Collaborative, customer-focused, and able to create visible value.
- Good understanding of secure computing practices and security issues as they pertain to applications and servers.
- Successful experience using ASP.NET, IIS, and/or ColdFusion/Tomcat and SQL to create database connected applications.
- Understands HTTPS, TLS, PKI, and certificates.
- Understands the fundamentals of iterative development.
- Understands Continuous Integration/Continuous Development
- ITIL Foundation Certified
- SECRET Clearance or higher
- A Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited institution.

Job Description
ASRC Federal Agile Decision Sciences is seeking a Server Administrator Team Lead with a Secret security clearance to support the Communications Electronics Command (CECOM) at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. The lead will be responsible for coordinating system administration activities across NIPR networks, Government Cloud, and standalone/non-networks environments. As a lead, you will manage a remote team of server administrators, database administrators, and cloud administrators. You will assign work, set task priorities/deadlines, and identify coaching opportunities for process improvement. Your work will help maintain the operation and security of the underlying operating system, including installing the latest vendor patches and applying the latest release of the applicable Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs). Additionally, you will work with the Database Administration team in understanding changes and work required on the MS SQL Databases, and ensuring all work is completed to the customer’s satisfaction. The lead will plan, coordinate, and monitor major site revisions and new site deployments after mutual agreement with the government POCs, and ensure that all development is executed using an Iterative Agile approach. The lead will also ensure that all tickets are answered and resolved promptly to the customer’s satisfaction. The lead will collaborate with the rest of the team in ensuring that the continuous Risk Management Framework (cRMF) process is effectively conducted and ensure the System’s Authority to Operate (ATO) is maintained in a satisfactory manner.
The lead will be expected to stay current and have a working understanding of relevant new database technologies, as well as all relevant cyber security policies, regulations, STIGs, and Security Requirements Guides (SRGs). In addition, the administrator will be expected to notify users of all Authorized Service Interruptions (ASI).
Finally, the lead will serve as a point of contact with the Government for administrative communications and coordination of work.
