- Ensures all glassware, flatware and plateware are sanitized and available as needed
- Always keeps sanitation solution up to Maverick Hotels and Restaurants code and sets up bussing and water stations for service
- Polishes glassware, plateware and flatware using dishwashers or by hand
- Place clean dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment in designated areas
- Assists in counting of inventory of flatware, glassware and plateware
- Maintains proper placement and organization of day-to-day utensils
- Maintains proper storage of dish dollies, glass racks and flatware
- Maintains kitchen work areas, expo line, and utensils in clean and orderly condition
- Stock supplies such as food and utensils in serving stations, cupboards, refrigerators, etc.
- Sorts and removes trash, placing it in designated pickup areas
- Works diligently to avoid breakage and loss
- Ensures that all dishes and utensils are properly stocked and stored
- Offers warm and sincere welcome/farewell for all guests of Maverick Hotel and Restaurants locations. This includes the use of guest names when possible & maintains good eye contact with each guest
- Maintains an up to date working knowledge of all location amenities as well as any special events
- Interacts with all fellow associates and Maverick MODs in a professional manner, assisting other departments when necessary
- Attends assigned department meetings and appropriate location specific meetings
- Maintains constant awareness of safety issues, (i.e. broken glass, frayed electrical cords, leaks, broken locks and suspicious persons). Reports all safety incidents to on-duty supervisor.
- Acts with responsibility towards all company property, supplies and equipment
- Maintains a professional appearance. Follows all Maverick Hotel and Restaurant dress code standards.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least one year customer service experience required
- At least six months food & beverage experience required
- Prior experience as Server Assistant or Food Runner preferred
- Must be a United States citizen or possess a valid work permit
- Must be able to accurately follow instructions, both verbally and written
- Must possesses excellent communication skills
- Must be professional in appearance and demeanor
- Must be able to work under pressure
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must have excellent listening skills
- Must always ensure a teamwork environment
- Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with the guests and associates

Purpose and performance goals: All employees shall strive to provide exceptional hospitality to both internal and external guests at all times. This associate will be responsible for exemplifying the Maverick Hotel and Restaurants Culture as well as providing promotional expertise for the location as both a destination and a harmonious work environment.
SUMMARY: The Server Assistant and Food Runner is responsible for properly setting the restaurant up for service. This associate is responsible for getting food items, plateware, glassware, and flatware to guests in a timely manner and return dirty plates and linens to the designated kitchen areas. This associate will stock all designated areas with glassware, plateware, and supplies. This associate will assist with polishing of all flatware, glassware and plateware before returning it all on the floor. The Server Assistant and Food Runner will assist all Maverick MODs, servers, and bartenders to maintain the Maverick Hotel & Restaurant Standards.

HOURS
Due to the seasonal nature of the hospitality industry, and the fact that Maverick Hotels and Restaurants provides guest services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, an employee may be required to work rotating shifts including evenings, weekends, holidays and/or overtime.
