Job purpose

Perform tasks necessary to ensure an exceptional dining experience for our Members and Guests.

Duties and responsibilities

• Provide friendly and attentive service to Members and Guests. Strive to enhance the overall dining experience by anticipating and fulfilling customer needs.
• Deliver food orders from the kitchen to the respective tables in a timely manner, ensuring all items are accurately presented and promptly served.
• Conduct visual checks on food items to ensure they meet quality standards before delivery.
• Ensure food is served in accordance with safety standards (e.g. proper temperature)
• Assist in setting up dining tables with proper utensils, condiments, and tableware.
• Act as the contact point between Front of the House and Back of the House staff
• Communicate food orders to chefs, paying attention to priorities and special requests (e.g. food allergies)
• Check in with customers and take additional orders or refill water, as needed.
• Remove dirty dishes and utensils.
• Answer guests’ questions about ingredients and menu items.
• Inform restaurant staff about customers’ feedback or requests (e.g. when they ask for the check)
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in food delivery areas, including food trays, carts, and serving stations. Adhere to food safety protocols and sanitation standards to ensure a hygienic environment.
• Work collaboratively with FOH and BOH team to achieve operational goals and deliver exceptional service.
• Perform other duties as requested.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role, preferably a restaurant or golf club setting
• Understanding of hygiene and food safety rules.
• Physical ability and stamina to carry heavy trays and stand for long hours.
• Availability to work various shifts, including weekends.
• Multi-tasking abilities.
• Good oral communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced work environment.
