      Job Description:

      Technical:

      -Generally serve as Linux consultant for site servers only (WMS and non-WMS)
      -Attend TAB/CAB meeting to provide technical input as needed for created changes and discuss with other team experts
      -Monitor hardware issues and vendor tracking for WMS traditional servers and ESX hosts. Provide recommendations as required.
      -Perform ticket trend analysis/reports and PR tracking. Accountable for RCA on outstanding Problem Records
      -Build change plans for any work not covered by SOP and own the change
      -Serve as the SME and owner for Doubletake application (High Availability application used for traditional site servers)
      -Perform Carbonite Doubletake versioning and testing at least twice per year (for new release). -Coordinate with WMS Project teams for application testing and evaluation for the new DT versions.
      -Serve as the point of contact for any application/third party related testing done by WMS to answer concerns or queries
      -Serve as the point of contact for P&G Service Operations Managers and DXC WMS Delivery Leads, responding as soon as possible on escalations and questions regarding outstanding issues and other concerns
      -Serve as the point of contact for NON-WMS queries coming from site IT/OT, server owners for any issues and/or concerns on the Linux servers
      -Serve as the point of contact for WMS DR activities, answering queries during planning, delegating/owning actual DR work
      -Serve as escalation during RRT and EMS calls for site servers, providing technical recommendations and owning resolution of high impacting issues in order to restore service as soon as possible
      -Own VMWare related changes for WMS clusters for the sites and also work with ALICS team for ESX host patches and firmwares. Coordination is also needed for concerns with ALICS 2.0 Linux VMs
      -Represent DXC UIT team on P&G initiated calls

      Process:

      -Coordinate with site IT/OT, server owners to ensure downtime schedules are provided in order to apply the monthly patches on the linux servers and ESX hosts
      -Examine new SSRs (WMS/nonWMS) and work or delegate as necessary. Further consulation with P&G is expected should there be clarifications
      -Work with the build team to escalate work and also to engage the change team to complete any work in an expedited manner

      5+ years of experience with Linux
      HPE hardware (Proliant DL series)
      bash scripting and Ansible
      RHCSA is a plus
      Proficiency with Incident Management, Problem and Change management
      Working knowledge with HP OVO, Data Protector, Veaam is a plus
