What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Manage work orders from resident service requests and conduct routine upkeep of the community
- Oversee the “make-ready” process for vacant apartment homes, including inspections and scheduling of vendors
- Establish cleanliness and appearance standards for community grounds, amenities, and common areas
- Inspect work performed by service team members and contractors to ensure quality standards are met
- Maintain inventory of spare parts and maintenance materials, working within budgetary guidelines
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Proven experience in technical and mechanical work related to property maintenance
- Ability to diagnose issues and perform repairs in accordance with safety standards and code requirements
- Strong customer service skills, with the ability to respond sensitively to resident complaints
- Knowledge of OSHA and safety-related laws and requirements
- Ability to conduct regular safety meetings and maintain MSDS sheets
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Previous experience in property management or a related field
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance procedures
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
- Experience working with vendors and contractors
- Knowledge of inventory management practices
