Job Description

- Facilitate and ensure adherence to safety laws, regulations, rules and sound practices.
- Work with the management team in continued development with the implementation of policies and procedures.
- Ensure that all unsafe behavior and conditions are corrected promptly.
- Assist with incident investigation, trends and related preventative measures.
- Manage elevator bulk storage, and wheat cleaning processes safely and in accordance with all ADM Operational Milling Standards
- Manage and maintain optimal storage condition of grain silos to prevent spoilage or loss.
- Assigning sanitation and housekeeping duties and following up on task completion.
- Maintain Mill Sanitation at a level (BRC Certified) that meets the expectation of ADM Food Safety policies and procedures.
- Participate in regulatory third party customer and company audits as required
- Work with location management in continued development with the implementation of Plant Sanitation and Food Safety (HACCP) programs, policies and procedures.
- Strong leadership, problem solving, self-motivation and organization skills.
- Ensure a safe and productive work environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft programs (Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Communicate in a confident and courteous manner.
- 3 or more years of experience supervising employees in a unionized environment.
- Mechanical inclination or aptitude with industrial equipment related to grain and milling.
- All candidates must have authorization and the ability to maintain authorization to legally work in Canada.
- Relocation support is not available for this position.

About the Position
Oversee the safe, efficient, and compliant operations of the elevator department and its associated functions, including the receiving, storage, cleaning, and processing of raw materials into finished products. Ensure accurate recordkeeping and reporting in alignment with ADM’s established policies and procedures.The Shift Superintendent plays a key role in maintaining optimal grain storage conditions and upholding strict cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout the facility. This position is responsible for leading a shift team, providing clear direction, and holding team members accountable to departmental goals and performance expectations.
