We are looking for a UX Designer that enjoys inventing and simplifying for our customers throughout their online Fashion shopping journey. From browsing/discovery and finding the right size and fit, to checkout and receiving packages of the highest quality fashion brands, at their front doors. As a UX Designer at Shopbop, you will have the opportunity to own UX initiatives and act as a customer advocate by surfacing the customer perspective through user research and usability studies, and presenting insights to leadership to influence decisions and prioritization.

The ideal candidate is a mobile first design thinker who creates cohesive responsive design across various platforms and devices (desktop, tablet, mobile, etc). You have a strong visual design background with passion for online shopping experience design, especially apparel/fashion. You see opportunities to create beautiful and easy-to-use patterns that customers recognize and that save our partners time, and raises the bar on design and front-end solutions. You are a self-starter with strong organizational skills, web expertise, intrinsic design ability, attention to detail, and knowledge of standard web and mobile components and patterns.


Key job responsibilities
You’ll create best-in-class customer experiences, fit for luxury brands. Eliminating barriers to purchasing designer clothing, shoes, beauty, and accessories online.
You’ll work closely with product managers, developers, customer service, marketing, and studio stakeholders.
You’ll facilitate cross-functional UX reviews and brainstorming, present to stakeholders and leadership. Clearly communicating design solutions and gracefully supporting your design decisions.
You’ll oversee the quality of in-progress development including UAT through to final launch .
You’ll contribute to and maintain the Shopbop Design System Pattern Library.

We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:

New York, NY, USA- 7+ years of user experience designer, interaction designer, information architect, or similar design-related role experience
- Bachelor's degree in design, human-computer interaction (HCI)
- Have an online portfolio or samples of work on resume, demonstrating experience creating great end-to-end, user-centered design solutions and patterns, across desktop and mobile devices
- Knowledge of usability principles and techniques
- Knowledge of best practices for information architecture and design- Experience working in a collaborative team and working directly with developers for implementation of designs
- Experience comfortably and confidently presenting to all levels within the organization
- Experience using usertesting.com or similar tools and methodologies
- Experience designing for fashion or style-based brands or Retail/e-commerce design experience
- Ability to identify and contribute patterns to a Design System

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $94,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $184,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
