What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assist with data manipulation and analysis to support the development of actuarial and financial models
- Collaborate with a supervising actuary to develop new studies and reports
- Prepare meaningful reports for senior staff and leadership's analysis needs
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of data used in actuarial and financial models
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and methodologies
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Junior standing with a minimum GPA of 3.0 in a Bachelor's degree program in mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, or related field
- Experience working with databases, spreadsheets, word processors, and other software
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in actuarial science or related field
- Knowledge of healthcare industry and actuarial concepts
- Familiarity with actuarial software and tools
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong organizational and time management skills
