Job Description
- Req#: 521677
- Monitor and ensure consistent implementation of shelter policies and procedures across assigned shelters
- Communicate with shelter leads any updates to new arrivals shelter policies and procedures or new resources/services available for residents
- Lead the stand-up and demobilization of new arrivals shelters
- Provide direction and guidance on resident discharges/bans from new arrivals shelters
- Troubleshoot non-policy resident issues and exercise sound judgement
- Advise shelters in emergency and/or crisis response situations and seek additional guidance from DFSS, when needed
- Advise Project Managers on proper documentation and reporting of incidents to DFSS
- Coordinate the movement of resources and supplies from shelters, as needed
- Draft new shelter policies and procedures for DFSS approval, as needed
- Update shelter forms, as needed
- Provide consistent on-site support to assigned shelters and be flexible to site and schedule changes as directed by DFSS leadership
- Foster a positive working environment
- Support site coverage when there are staffing coverage issues
- Support Shelter Managers in reporting and elevating staffing-related issues as needed
- Elevate any staffing issues related to Shelter Managers or Project Managers as needed
- Other tasks as assigned
- Bilingual in English and Spanish required
- Bachelor's degree in human services or related field preferred
- 2-5 years direct service experience in an emergency shelter or homeless services management preferred

Pay Range: $85,000 - $110,000
Pay is based on numerous factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Work Environment:
Employees may be exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions, fumes, or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.
Physical Requirements:
Employees may be required to remain in a stationary position, stand, push, pull, climb, kneel, crawl, balance, squat, bend, and reach. Employees may be also required to use gear to move items around, including, but not limited to, carts and dollies. Employees may also be occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 49 pounds.
