Participate in less complex consumer requests and products with few deviations
Identify opportunities for decisions and scoring system improvements
Review basic consumer requests related to decisions, products and process
Gather information to make appropriate decisions
Ensure products meet company and industry guidelines
Present recommendations for resolving consumer requests and program risks and exercise independent judgment while developing expertise in the programs, collateral, small business requirements and risk
Collaborate and consult with managers, internal and external business partners and more experienced underwriters
2+ years of underwriting experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Manual, judgmental, or non conforming underwriting experience
Analyzes financial documents and credit information for small businesses or high net worth customer loan packages according to business unit standards.
Compile, analyze, and document the loan data and credit risk, borrower and business information and coordinate activity in support of credit approval process.
Ability to work in a fast-paced production driven environment
Experience using any of the following-Wells Fargo AFS (Automated Financial Systems), Wells Fargo BLAST (Business Lending and Sales Tracking) system, Hogan, Fiserve (FDR), and Credit Bridge
Small Business loan experience
A BS/BA degree or higher in accounting, finance, or economics
Understanding of loan structuring across broad spectrum of product and loan types while investigating credit standards and determining credit worthiness of high new worth loans, understands financial statements and reports for specific area of business.
Knowledge and understanding of financial spreading- review personal or business financial statements and tax returns (commercial and individual)
Obtain delegation of authority within 90 days of start
Comply with the six Wells Fargo Expectation Initiatives
Flexibility to work overtime as needed
