Job Description

- In line with policies and procedures, and under instruction/supervision of senior team members, assist in the active monitoring of systems and networks for intrusions and potential malicious activity, in the investigation of data breaches and security incidents, in reviewing threat and vulnerability reports, and in improving security detection capabilities
- Contribute to Cyber Security Internal Intelligence building
- Use, enhancing and tuning tools for efficiently managing large collections of security events
- Provide input to the design, assist in testing the functionality and participate in the operational readiness testing related to projects for network security infrastructure/management
- Acquire knowledge of changing technologies in own area of responsibility and provide recommendations for adaptation of technologies or policies to our Security Delivery team
- Stay abreast of current Cyber threats and emerging attack methodologies.
- Assist in the triage of user and system reported security alerts and identify alerts that require further investigation
- Assist in the follow-up and closure of containment actions for suspicious activities or Indicators of Compromise (IOCs)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- 2 to 5 years of relevant experience working in a security or operational networking role

SWIFT's Cyber Fusion Centre is looking for a Security Operations Center (SOC) analyst. The SOC analyst is a member of a team responsible for the prevention of Cyber Security Incidents by monitoring, detecting and performing analysis of potential intrusions in real time within all of SWIFT's operating environments.
The candidate will be responsible for analyzing and responding to cyber threats which will involve the use of troubleshooting tools as well as writing scripts to aid in quick analysis to define and apply an appropriate response.

The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position in Virginia is $74,830.00 USD Annual MINIMUM to $138,970.00 USD Annual MAXIMUM. Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
