What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assess, triage, investigate, and respond to alerts from the cybersecurity product suite
- Identify potential, successful, and unsuccessful intrusion attempts and address them per SOC procedures
- Conduct technical vulnerability assessments of IT systems and make risk control recommendations
- Respond to IT security incidents, including performing forensics for evidence gathering
- Contribute to process improvement in security monitoring, response, and controls
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
- 1+ year experience in SOC operations and security event analysis or 3+ years in IT security/network-related field
- Knowledge of cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.)
- Strong understanding of threat intelligence tools and methodologies
- Effective communication skills, both verbally and in writing
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Cybersecurity certifications
- Experience reviewing and correlating logs in a security capacity
- Familiarity with intrusion tools and techniques, as well as detection methods at both the network and host level
- Understanding main compliance standards and data regulation requirements
- Experience with programming and scripting languages
