- Reports to Director of Marketing
- Plan and manage the social media calendar, ensuring posts go live across Instagram, Facebook, X, Threads, TikTok, Pinterest, YouTube, and LinkedIn.
- Lead the creation of platform-specific content, from graphics to short-form videos, and craft captions tailored to each audience and platform style.
- Act as a video-first strategist, collaborating with the video team to translate full-length content into social-friendly formats, brainstorming high-performing content ideas, and ensuring all videos meet platform-specific technical requirements.
- Conduct monthly social media audits and analyze performance metrics (reach, engagement, clicks, conversions, follower growth) to guide strategy and optimize future content.
- Serve as a subject-matter expert by informing the marketing team on platform trends, new features, and emerging formats to ensure content stays relevant and engaging.
- Build and nurture community connections across all platforms by actively monitoring comments, direct messages, and mentions, responding to follower questions, and facilitating meaningful engagement to strengthen trust and loyalty.
- Develop and implement creative strategies for corporate partner and donor relations, handling content requests, highlighting partnerships, and amplifying partner stories across social channels.
- Steward strategic relationships, as well as influencers and brand ambassadors, by ideating and executing collaborations, co-branded content, and social activations.
- Manage Tree Ambassadors, our dedicated group of brand ambassadors, by creating perks, managing inquiries, coordinating initiatives, and supporting their engagement with the organization.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, projects, and development teams to ensure social content aligns with organizational goals, campaigns, and mission-driven storytelling.
- Proven track record managing social media accounts with significant following, ideally for a non profit organization.
- Hands on experience with social media scheduling and project management platforms, including Airtable, Sprout Social or similar tools.
- Experience working both independently and in a collaborative environment.
- Proficiency with content creation and design tools, including Canva, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, After Effects), and video editing tools such as CapCut.
- Strong understanding of social culture, trends, and memes, and the ability to translate them into engaging content.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills, both individually and in a group environment.
- Experience using analytics and social listening tools to track performance, uncover trends, and inform strategy.
- Passion for nature, forests, and the outdoors, with an ability to translate that passion into social storytelling.

Be the voice of our movement on the most public stage sharing creative, video-first stories that showcase the power of reforestation, wild place restoration, and the people making it happen. Collaborate with an award-winning, highly engaged marcomms team, manage social campaigns, and steward relationships with partners, influencers, and brand ambassadors to amplify impact. Analyze trends and performance to guide strategy, ensuring every post not only informs but moves our audience to act and be part of one of the most important environmental efforts of our time. BACHELOR’S DEGREE or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.RELATED EXPERIENCE :

COMPENSATION :
typical starting range is $60,000 - $70,000 USD which will be based on skills and experience. Annual performance increase may be available but not guaranteed.IDEAL LOCATION: US-Based
