What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Supervise, monitor, and evaluate the performance of Centralized Service Intake Unit (CSIU) workers
- Review and determine the acceptance or rejection of abuse intakes based on Iowa Code
- Provide consultation, guidance, and technical assistance regarding child and dependent adult intakes
- Demonstrate exceptional customer service skills and establish positive relationships with clients
- Make rapid and accurate decisions based on policy and procedure in a fast-paced environment
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Graduation from an accredited four-year college with experience equal to four years of full-time work in a social work capacity, or equivalent experience
- A Bachelor's degree in social work with three years of full-time experience, or a Master's degree in social work with one year of experience in a social work capacity
- Ability to demonstrate excellent judgment and communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and work under pressure while maintaining integrity and a strong work ethic
- Must be able to work independently and make sound decisions using independent judgment
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Bilingual abilities, with preference given to candidates who can speak more than one language
- Experience directly related to the requirements and duties of the position
- Familiarity with performance data analysis related to social work
- Previous supervisory experience in a social work environment
