What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Source, clean, and structure data for import into ArcGIS Pro
- Analyze data using ArcGIS Pro, including converting Excel data to tables and creating maps
- Utilize MS Excel to analyze and manipulate data, summarizing findings for briefing memos
- Collaborate with client staff and the U. Albany climate hazards modeling team
- Prepare software requirements and specification documents while liaising between users and developers
What is Required (Qualifications):
- 12 months of experience geocoding data and programming related to geospatial analysis
- 12 months of experience using ESRI ArcGIS Pro software
- 12 months of experience working with large datasets using MS Excel
- 12 months of experience sourcing publicly available data for geospatial mapping analysis
- Bachelor's Degree in a GIS-related discipline or equivalent; ESRI ArcGIS Pro Associate Certification
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- 12 months of experience working with MS Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe software
- Strong problem-solving and interpersonal relation skills
