Software Automation Engineer, Mid

The Opportunity:

Quality is about more than ensuring test cases pass, it’s the reflection of the experience and the confidence our end users have when they interact with our systems, which they depend on to do their jobs, help others, and support their mission. We’re looking for an automation engineer to help us enforce the protection of this user experience by writing automation suites encompassing UI tests, API tests, and performance tests.

This role includes working as an integrated member of a development team alongside other testers to build these automation suites as part of the Agile delivery processes, integrated into DevSecOps pipelines to enforce quality with governance. We need people who are passionate about writing effective tests using best practices and built with emerging technologies and tools. You Have:

• 2+ years of experience with manual testing

• Experience with API testing

• Experience with testing cross-browser, cross-platform, and cross-device compatibility

• Experience with working in an Agile software development environment

• Knowledge of programming languages, including Java or Python

• Knowledge of test automation frameworks, including Selenium, LeapWork, Eggplant, or Appium

• Ability to create test plans and test cases from requirements

• Ability to obtain a security clearance

• Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of experience with designing and maintaining automation tests or 5+ years of experience with designing and maintaining automation tests in lieu of a degree

Nice If You have:

• Experience with testing in continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines

• Experience with testing in a Cloud environment using AWS or Microsoft Azure

• Experience with designing, developing, and maintaining an automation suite

• Experience with 508 Accessibility testing

• Experience with testing Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $60,400.00 to $137,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
