      ESD is hiring for two full-time project positions, these positions are expected to last through June of 2026.

      The ideal candidate for our Software Developer (IT Application Development-Journey) position is a highly motivated individual with a strong understanding of service-oriented design and development. The candidate should have demonstrated skills in source control, software management, and work item management using software tools such as Azure Dev Ops, Visual Studio and GIT.

      In addition to technical skills, we value developers who bring creativity and innovation to their work. The ideal candidate will not only solve problems but will also look for opportunities to improve our software products and processes. Furthermore, a strong understanding of cloud technologies, especially Azure.

      Analyze, design, and develop technical solutions for customers in collaboration with the sprint team leader. This includes:


      • Write code using a variety of development languages and frameworks, primary within the Microsoft ecosystem.

      • Communicate with customers to understand and document the business need

      • Translate software requirements into a technical solution, leveraging best practices for cloud-native development on Azure

      Maintain IT applications and associated components with general leadership of the sprint team leader. This includes:

      • Provide production support for reported application/system defects.

      • Develop and Maintain application software using a variety of application development languages, with a focus on technologies compatible with Azure and Microsoft Dynamics 365

      • Participate in team and peer code reviews, adhering to best practices for secure and scalable cloud applications

      Conduct application testing including development of unit tests to conduct automated testing

      • Review technical requirements defined by business customers and identify, develop, and conduct automated unit tests, system performance testing, and load testing to ensure the code is functioning as designed

      • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or closely related field AND two years of experience with service-oriented design and development using C#, ASP.NET, MVC, JavaScript, Angular, NuGet, .NET Core, MongoDB, NoSQL, and T-SQL

      • OR a combination of education and/or relevant IT experience.

      AND:


      • Demonstrated skills in source control, software management and work item management using a software tools, such as Azure Dev Ops, Jira, Team Foundation Server (TFS) Visual Studio tools and GIT.
