Software Development Engineer C++ and Java for New Distribution Capability and Dynamic Offers for

Business Environment

Within Airline R&D, the New Distribution Capability and Dynamic Offers (NDO) division is responsible for de-signing, building, delivering and maintaining the products in charge of creating and delivering fully dynamic and enriched offers to any retailer : Altea NDC, Dynamic Pricing, Merchandizing and Ancillaries.

In this role you’ll

What will be your daily working life made of:

• Building future proof offer and order-based solutions, at the forefront of the retail transformation of the airline industry
• Working on new Event Driven (SKube) stacks for Open Offer, NDC and Offer Orchestration
• Taking the performance challenges to a next level: all our applications are part of the “shopping flow” dealing with low latency and a huge traffic (several thousands of TPS)
• Being in the first one to migrate to the public cloud (NDO applications are part of the first pioneers)
• Experiencing with a “start-up” spirit in NDC train: small team, great challenges
• Learning new skills by tackling more than one stack a time (Angular, C++, Java, but also scala for the data platform, EDA/SOA)
• Room for creativity as we are creating a new platform
• A full “Agile” division (all members part of SAFE delivery trains)
• Fun with an group of talented and season professionals

Key accountabilities

Within the NDO division, as part of one of the delivery train (Offer Computation and Cockpit, NDC, Offer Backbone, Offer Data Science) your responsibilities will be to:
• Propose technical design
• Develop software according to Amadeus Standards
• Conduct Unit test, component and product test of the software to ensure high quality level
• Participate in the validation phase, and provide support to team in charge of validation
• Ensure the sustainable evolution of the software architecture.
• Communication with component team member and NDO team to ensure coherence of the application
• Support end user in the piloting and production phase in response to Problem Tracking Records and Incident Records. Identify the issue and provide fix if needed
• Participate to on call activities

About the ideal candidate

You have:

• A collaborative and proactive approach

• Great problem-solving skills with the ability to see and solve issues before they snowball into problems

Technical skills and know-how:

• C, C++, or Java (Swing). Python knowledge in addition is a plus

• Database technologies (e.g. Oracle, RDBMS/SQL, MongoDB)

• Web technologies (e.g. AngularJS)

• Linux/Unix OS

Background:

• Knowledge/Experience in all phases of the software development life cycle.

• Master’s or Engineering School Degree in Computer Science or related field.
