What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Collaborate with cross-functional XP teams to build production applications for customers
- Pair program with other engineers and work closely with product managers and designers
- Apply and evolve XP engineering practices such as test-driven development and continuous integration
- Support and maintain production applications within an agile DevSecOps model
- Lead technical discovery efforts, particularly for legacy mainframe systems
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Experience as a software engineer in a professional, team-based environment
- Familiarity with XP practices such as pair programming and test-driven development
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language and application framework
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation for system maintenance
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with programming languages and frameworks such as Java, Python, Elixir, Rust, Go, or Nix
- Demonstrated passion for Agile methodologies and continuous improvement
- Previous experience with customer-facing services
