What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Own major feature releases across the flight booking funnel, from search to booking creation
- Build scalable services to integrate new airline partners and support B2B distribution
- Design and implement resilient, low-latency services for a seamless customer experience
- Write and review high-quality code for new flight product features
- Collaborate with product managers to translate business requirements into technical tasks
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Proven track record of owning the technical implementation, testing, and deployment of features
- Experience with the design of highly available microservices in a production environment
- Strong proficiency in Scala or other JVM languages, such as Java or Kotlin
- Familiarity with service communication methods, including gRPC, Pub/Sub, and REST
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in a complex, high-throughput microservices environment
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve production issues in distributed systems
- Knowledge of system design principles for service scalability and performance
