What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Develop and maintain clean, tested, and well-documented code for the personal loan platform
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new features and resolve issues
- Design, build, and maintain RESTful APIs and service-based systems
- Perform peer code reviews and mentor junior engineers
- Ensure the reliability and performance of systems through testing and integration with third-party vendors
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 4 years of experience with backend programming languages such as Java, C#, or preferably JavaScript/TypeScript
- Minimum of 4 years of experience working with relational databases (MySQL, MSSQL, or preferably PostgreSQL)
- Proven experience in designing and maintaining RESTful APIs and service-based systems
- Strong problem-solving skills and a results-driven mindset
- Excellent communication skills to convey technical concepts to diverse audiences
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Familiarity with testing frameworks and concepts such as mocking, stubbing, and contract testing
- Experience with Docker and AWS for infrastructure management
- Understanding of microservices architecture
- A proactive approach to learning and trying new ideas
- Experience with observability tools like Amplitude, Sentry, Splunk, or Dynatrace
