What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Define and drive adoption of processes and tools for production alerting and incident response
- Implement strategies for faster discovery and resolution of production incidents
- Measure and define reliability metrics such as MTTD, MTTR, and availability
- Collaborate with teams to eliminate architectural weaknesses across systems
- Participate in on-call shifts for incident response as part of the engineering team
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 2 years of experience building full-stack web applications
- Collaborative team mindset with a commitment to quality software development
- Ability to navigate uncertainty and make pragmatic implementation decisions
- Curiosity and willingness to learn new technologies and domains
- Experience with public cloud services, preferably AWS
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Knowledge of monitoring and observability technologies, particularly OpenTelemetry
- Experience working with hybrid teams in a distributed work environment
