What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Build highly scalable and distributed services for diverse communication channels
- Develop internal and public REST APIs and event-based systems for Twilio customers
- Collaborate with a geographically distributed team to brainstorm product ideas
- Own product responsibilities including SLA, incident resolution, and customer feedback
- Continuously improve services that power Twilio’s top products and revenue generation
What is Required (Qualifications):
- 2+ years of software development experience in at least one object-oriented language such as Java, Go, or C#
- Experience designing, implementing, and integrating with REST APIs
- Proven experience in building and maintaining mission-critical customer-facing systems
- Familiarity with AWS or other cloud provider services
- Understanding of asynchronous architectures and technologies such as Kafka or SQS
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases like MySQL or DynamoDB
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Background in integrating telemetry and observability tools for system monitoring
