What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Conduct software testing across all the employer's software products to ensure quality and performance
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and project managers to identify and resolve system issues and defects
- Outline and execute quality assurance testing plans to ensure comprehensive coverage
- Document test cases and results effectively to maintain clear communication with internal teams
- Support customers and internal groups by providing expertise in software quality assurance practices
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree required, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong understanding of the software development and testing process
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work on multiple concurrent projects and efficiently switch between tasks
- Demonstrated ability to participate effectively as part of a team
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Prior internship(s) and/or applicable coursework in software testing
- Experience writing and using automated test scripts and tools
- Knowledge and experience with databases (SQL Server and Oracle) and the Microsoft stack of software development tools
- Experience in the utility, energy, or pipeline industry
