The opportunity | Te Whiwhinga mahi
Our Property Services, Planning and Development team is seeking a Space Planning Analyst. This is a full-time, permanent position offering a salary between $80,000 and $90,000 per annum.
We are open to considering entry-level or experienced candidates, but ideally, we are looking for someone with experience in space planning, office moves or facilities management who has some basic computer-aided design (CAD) drafting knowledge and a positive approach to relationship building.
In this role, you will split your time between drafting, serving stakeholders and planning/analysis.
You will be responsible for assisting with accommodation planning, space management analysis and the administration that is required to ensure that the University is making effective use of its spaces. You will also collect, collate and analyse space planning data and recommend space planning activities to ensure efficient and effective use of university property as part of a small and close-knit planning team.
One of your core responsibilities will involve handling space allocation requests. For example, if there's a need to secure desk space for two team members in an area with restricted available space, you'll be tasked with examining our databases for potential spaces or locations that could be repurposed. You will then propose a solution, which might include rearranging existing desks, converting a meeting room, or initiating minor construction work to create additional space.
An interesting aspect of this role is the opportunity to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders and address a multitude of requests spanning various environments, including offices, labs, workshops, and clinics.
