POSITION: SPARKS (Summer Program for Academic Readiness for Knights) Teacher - Gr. K - 6
SPARKS teacher positions are available to PDE certified teachers (Gr. K - 6) to work with students in the Summer Support Program, which will be in-person.Pay Rate: $34.82/hr. through 6/30/24; $38.00/hr. starting 7/1/24
What is SPARK?The North Penn School District is offering eligible students in grades K-6 the opportunity to participate in a Summer Remediation Program called SPARK (Summer Program for Academic Readiness for Knights). This program helps students maintain critical foundational reading skills, as well as important math concepts, learned throughout the year.
This program is designed for NPSD students in grades K-6 who demonstrate a need for remediation/intervention based on specific criteria. Teachers are responsible for planning and delivering ELA and Math instruction to meet the individual needs of students.
Program Length: July 1, 2024 - July 25, 2024 (Monday - Thursday)
Teacher set-up day: June 25, 2024
Work Hours: Staff Hours - 8:30 am-12:00 pm (3.5 hrs./day)
Student Hours - 9:00 am - 11:30 am

Sedentary: involves sitting most of the time. Incumbent should be able to exert up to 10 lbs of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or move objects.
Light work: If the use of arm and/or leg control requires exertion of forces greater than that for sedentary work and the individual sits most of the time, the job is rated for light work. The incumbent should be able to exert up to 20 lbs of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 lbs of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
Medium work: The incumbent should be able to exert up to 50 lbs of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs of force frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs of force constantly to move objects.
Heavy work: The incumbent should be able to exert up to 100 lbs of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 lbs of force frequently, and/or up to 20 lbs of force constantly to move objects.
Very heavy work: The incumbent should be able to exert in excess of 100 lbs of force occasionally, and in excess of 50 lbs of force frequently, and in excess of 20 lbs of force constantly to move objects.
