What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assist teachers in delivering instruction tailored to meet the needs outlined in students’ Individual Educational Plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with special education and general education teachers to implement modifications and accommodations
- Facilitate communication with students, parents, and staff regarding academic progress and expectations
- Track student progress and motivate them using incentives that reinforce individual goals
- Participate in meetings and professional development to enhance skills and contribute to the Special Education program
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma and one (1) year of experience supporting students, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to pass a required background search
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and web applications
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Ability to travel 20% of the time for meetings and professional development
