      Located in Norway, the team consists of 35 highly competent and diverse members. Due to the unique engineering skills of our team, we are able to plan and execute marine and land cable installation projects globally, navigating environmental challenges and client specifications with ease. As we continue to grow, we are on the lookout for a dynamic colleague to join our team.

      Getting a flying start
      To succeed in Marine Installation, you need experience in the energy, maritime, offshore, oil&gas, marine, or construction fields. The SOW of our projects will require you to have extensive experience with hydrographic survey. Working closely with project subcontractors, you will first evaluate survey proposals and then specify survey equipment/personnel needed for our own installation vessels. This will be based on project requirements and frame agreements with the survey subcontractors. You will provide survey input to procedures, plans, analyses, calculations and other documentation. You will be an active participant in developing technical solutions related to the survey aspect of marine cable laying and marine subsea protection. On top of that, you will participate in QA and HSE activities internally in the department and in projects.

      Your starting point when you join

      • BSc or MSc degree in the area of Land & Hydrographic surveying, Geophysics Geology, Geomatics or similar
      • More than 10 years of relevant experience from offshore or subsea operations related to the following operations; Geophysical & Geotechnical survey or positioning
      • Relevant background could be, project surveyor, survey data processing etc.
      • Knowledge about ESRI ArcGIS and Eiva Navimodel will be an advantage.
      • ‘In this role the likelihood of succeeding will increase if you are used to work structured and accurate when writing technical documentation/procedures.
      • Our fast-paced environment allows us to meet short deadlines and work at high speed.
      • Nexans works in teams based on project execution, so being self-driven and being able to take charge of one's own tasks are of the utmost importance.
      • Fluent in English – oral and written. Norwegian is a plus.
