      Enbridge is seeking a highly motivated individual who strives to make a difference in the capacity of Specialist Municipal and Stakeholder Affairs as we lead the future of energy. The primary responsibility of the Specialist is to implement regional engagement strategies with elected officials and key municipal members.

      Here's what you will do:

      • Lead all aspects of the development and execution of Regional Engagement Plans (REP) and provide strategic direction to a team of advisors that reflects our values, goals, and stakeholder interests.

      • Measure engagement activities and analyze outcomes to continually improve outreach efforts, strengthen relationships and implement best practices.

      • Identify and provide timely advice and recommendations with respect to stakeholder engagement including issues management, cultural awareness, consultation, relationship and partnership opportunities, and risk assessment.

      • Develop project-specific communications materials, including identifying a spokesperson for events, speeches, key messages, and issue briefs.

      • Collaborate with various teams to ensure all relevant areas of the business are represented in stakeholder plan development and strategic outreach initiatives.

      Who are you:

      • University degree from a related post-secondary program.

      • Minimum 7 or more years of progressive stakeholder engagement experience (or related public affairs area such as community relations, government or municipal relations, or related fields).

      • Outstanding analytical and problem solving skills to quickly analyze complex situations, identify key issues and messages, and develop a path forward.

      • Experience in and understanding of a large, public company with operations in multiple regions.

      • Outstanding organization and interpersonal management skills, including consultation, negotiation, facilitation, risk communication and conflict resolution.

      • Excellent attention to detail and time management.

      Working Conditions:

      • Frequent travel (10-20%).

      • After-hours work may be required to support business objectives.

      • A valid G license with a clean driver's abstract is required.
