      Job Summary

      Work as part of a DevOps team, leverage specialist analysis & testing tools, frameworks, techniques and practices to elicit, define and organize business requirements. Translate & document business requirements into user stories & specifications (Full Stack, Cross System) detailing integration points, business & associated risk / opportunities to be realised. And following this analysis, work collaboratively within squads during design & delivery activity including assuming responsibility for manual application testing processes, frameworks & outcomes

      Job Description

      The Investment Banking Technology team (IB Tech) is looking for a Specialist Solution Analyst to join the IBD Technology team in supporting vendor and in-house solutions. The Solution Analyst is responsible for supporting the area’s applications, vendor support engagement, managing BAU improvements and will be assigned on projects when required.

      Required Education:

      • Any relevant tertiary qualification (degree) in Finance/Actuarial Science/Information Systems/Computer Science/ Certificate in Business Analysis

      Required Experience/Skills:

      • 4+ years of related Analysis work experience
      • A good grasp of fundamental business analysis techniques and project methodologies
      • Microsoft Office
      • Visio

      Advantageous Experience/Skills:

      • Experience in Corporate and Investment Banking
      • Good understanding of financial products in the South African market
      • Experience with data analytic tools such as Qlikview / Power BI
      • Experience with ACBS
      • Jira / Azure or related

      Role Objectives:

      Excel at being a valuable personal contributor as a Solution Analyst:

      • Apply analytical techniques to elicit and validate business needs using frameworks and tools as required. Capture business requirements in required format (formal BRD / User Story etc.) gaining appropriate approvals from key stakeholders.
      • Ensure cohesion across business requirements, business processes, system processes and integration tracing impact of changes.
      • Participate in peer reviews and problem solving.
      • Define, execute and track test cases validating that requirements have been met.
      • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs and communicate regularly keeping them informed of work statuses.
      • Collaborate with development team to ensure understanding of requirements.
      • Documentation of processes / guides, providing training and handover to business / support teams.
      • Proactively learn & leverage knowledge on business, technical landscape and industry trends.
      • Adherence and compliance to the banks policies & standards regarding technology and info security measures.
      • Provide functional support to IBD business areas for applications used.
      • Participate in projects assigned as per role.
      • Keep data systems up to date such as Jira, Confluence, Change process systems.

      Education

      Bachelor's Degree: Information Technology
