      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Review and analyze documentation in medical records for inpatient, outpatient, and professional services to assign appropriate diagnoses and procedure codes
      - Adhere to the Standards of Ethical Coding set forth by the American Health Information Management Association and official coding guidelines
      - Utilize knowledge of ICD-10-CM and CPT/HCPCS coding classification systems, MS-DRGs, APCs, MPFS/RVUs, POAs, and HACs
      - Perform coding for acute care inpatient/outpatient hospital or professional services settings
      - Maintain accuracy and compliance in coding practices to support healthcare operations

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - High school diploma required
      - Prior coding experience in ICD-10-CM and HCPCS/CPT coding in an acute care setting
      - Certifications such as Registered Health Information Technologist (RHIT), Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), Certified Professional Coder (CPC), or Certified Interventional Radiology Cardiovascular Coder (CIRCC) or completion within 6 months of employment
      - Working knowledge and high level of experience with coding classification systems
      - Physical ability to perform essential functions, including frequent keyboard and mouse use for data entry

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Associate's degree from an accredited Health Information Technology program or Bachelor's degree from an accredited Health Information Management program
      - Experience with the 3M encoder and Epic
      - Additional certifications in relevant coding specialties
