What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Coordinate the end-to-end process of preparing and submitting grant proposals in compliance with sponsor and institutional guidelines
- Support principal investigators in drafting, assembling, and routing proposals, ensuring adherence to formatting and content requirements
- Manage sponsor communication and requests throughout the proposal lifecycle
- Oversee non-financial post-award reporting and ensure compliance with policies
- Facilitate the identification and dissemination of funding opportunity announcements (FOAs) and support intramural awards and internal proposals
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in research administration, proposal development, or grants management, preferably in a healthcare or academic environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills for effective liaison with investigators, sponsors, and internal stakeholders
- Proficiency in operational systems that support research administration
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Master's Degree in a relevant field
- Certified Research Administrator (CRA) certification
- Experience with grant proposal submission portals such as Grants.gov, ASSIST, and Proposal Central
- Familiarity with budgeting and financial management related to sponsored research
- Previous experience in pediatric or academic research settings
