What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Design, install, configure, and maintain SQL Servers, including clustered instances from SQL Server 2012 to 2022
- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues to optimize performance using various monitoring tools
- Implement backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and compliance with data security standards
- Collaborate with developers to create and maintain database schemas, stored procedures, and ETL processes
- Provide support, training, and documentation for database systems and procedures
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field
- Minimum of three years of SQL Server Administration experience
- Proven experience as a SQL Database Administrator, preferably in a healthcare environment
- Strong knowledge of SQL Server, including performance tuning and query optimization
- Familiarity with healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA) and data privacy standards
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or 5 years of SQL Server Administration experience
- Experience with cloud-based database solutions (e.g., Azure SQL, AWS RDS)
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate or similar certification
- Knowledge of ETL processes and data warehousing concepts
- Proficiency in automating tasks and solutions using PowerShell, T-SQL, and DBATools
