What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Coordinate and prepare the HEDIS medical record review
- Participate in meetings with vendors for the medical record collection process
- Collect medical records and load data into the HEDIS application
- Compare documentation in medical records to specifications for preventive and diagnostic services
- Participate in scheduled meetings regarding quality and HEDIS review and results
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 3 years of experience in healthcare Quality/HEDIS specific to medical record review and abstraction
- Intermediate knowledge and understanding of HEDIS projects
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- At least 3 years of medical record abstraction experience
- 3+ years of managed care experience
- Advanced knowledge of HEDIS and NCQA
