What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Build independent market risk reporting covering liability attribution, hedge performance, and risk profiles
- Research market risk exposure across various asset classes and provide insights on hedge risks and performance metrics
- Collaborate with IT and quantitative teams to implement effective risk management systems and models
- Partner with first-line teams to enhance the market risk management framework, including setting risk limits and reporting procedures
- Monitor and recommend hedging instruments to mitigate risks associated with market volatility and interest rates

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in market risk management or financial analysis, preferably in financial services or investment banking
- Solid understanding of capital markets, derivatives, and insurance products, including annuities
- Excellent quantitative and analytical skills to translate complex data into actionable insights
- Strong programming skills in Python, VBA, SQL, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Master's degree or relevant professional certifications (e.g., CFA, FRM, FSA, CQF)
- Experience working in a second-line market risk oversight role
- Working knowledge of visualization software such as Tableau or PowerBI
- Knowledge of insurance capital structures
- Ability to read and interpret regulatory documents and technical procedures
