Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Architect with 10 to 13 years of experience to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Microsoft Azure SQL Admin, PostgreSQL DB Administration, and MS SQL Server.
This role is hybrid, with a day shift schedule and no travel required.
The Architect will play a crucial role in designing and implementing database solutions that align with our company's goals and objectives.
Top Qualifications:
1. Manage and optimize both Azure SQL (MSSQL) and Azure Database for PostgreSQL databases, ensuring performance, security, and availability.
2. Provision, configure, and maintain Azure SQL and Azure PostgreSQL databases.
3. The ability to design secure Azure environments, all while maintaining excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

• Experience with cloud database migration, specifically to Azure

Responsibilities:
• Manage and optimize both Azure SQL (MSSQL) and Azure Database for PostgreSQL databases, ensuring performance, security, and availability.
• Provision, configure, and maintain Azure SQL and Azure PostgreSQL databases.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, optimize queries, and tune database configurations.
• Implement and maintain security measures, including user access control, encryption, and network security.
• Develop and execute backup and recovery plans to ensure data integrity and business continuity.
• Monitor database performance and availability, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions.
Qualifications:
• Experience in performance tuning, query optimization using Performance Monitor, SQL Profiler and other related monitoring/troubleshooting tools ·
• Experience with clustering, replication, virtualization, and high transactional enterprise systems.
• Experience in SQL Server, including replication, HA and DR techniques
• Strong aptitude for tuning T-SQL
• Provide written and verbal recommendations to vendor supplied solutions including, but not limited to indexing, code modifications, process improvements and logical and physical data structures.
• Provide technical assistance to developers, perform code reviews, identify inefficient code, provide suggestions for rewriting queries to ensure optimal execution·
• Responsible for administration, maintenance, performance monitoring and availability of enterprise Production SQL server environments ·
• Strong understanding of cloud computing fundamentals,
• Proficiency with core Azure services like Virtual Machines, Functions, and Active Directory,
• Solid networking knowledge,
• Security best practices,
• Automation skills using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, and the ability to design secure Azure environments, all while maintaining excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
